It’s been one-hell-of-a stressful few days. Sitting here on the terrace, looking at nothing; hearing nothing; my mind went momentarily blank. It should do that more often.
Also, I’m pretty sure I just saw two crickets humping.
Today we said goodbye to a very close friend. It got me thinking: the only thing worse than saying goodbye is never saying hello. I’m certainly not the first to say this. I’m just glad I did.

I love Dr. Seuss. I suppose that’s a byproduct of every North American childhood. Only recently, however, have I discovered how absolutely brilliant the man was. Nearly every line of every passage in every book can be mapped to everyday life. This random thought is about Green Eggs and Ham; advice on how it can be used in a business context. It’s actually the third version. The first was was too liberal. The second too conservative. This one is Green.
I met Jo in the summer of 2001 at the Rejean Café in Leuven. Although we were drunk so it could have also easily been 2002. Today would have been Jo’s 56th birthday. He died February 24, 2004. To the smartest, most sympathetic yet simultaneously frustrating person I’ve ever had the privilege to call my friend,
